it’s been nearly two months since my last post and you’d think this might be a long one to make up for the time gone…no dice. instead you get a quick rant on a pet peeve.
please, for the love of all that is sacred, don’t use the article the before the noun ukraine. folks, it is not the ukraine, it is simply ukraine…just as it is not the england, the germany, the russia, the africa, the australia, the spain. i have seen and heard that misused so much this summer and especially by those who are going there to serve the people. for crying out loud, if you are going there to serve, or sending someone to do the same, you especially should get it right.
